(June 3rd, 2005) : The Progeny Festival of Motion Pictures at the Lyric Movie Theater went well a few weeks ago (April 16th). We all had a great time, and "Fruitopia" somehow managed to win the "Best in Festival" award! There were 46 film submissions, so we really weren't expecting an award at all, not to mention first place. Event Coordinator John Irwin, the festival board, and the judges all deserve a huge thank you for making the festival happen. Also, congrats to this site's 7,000th visitor, Sameika Pixley!
